Waiting for.. whatever?
About a month ago I submitted 5 of my poems, written in Swedish in between 2012 and 2017, to two different magazines in Sweden. A cocky move, a bold move, a move that I've been dreading to take for a long time but that I finally pushed myself to do. Poetry is so damn personal to me and even though it may seem paradoxical due to the amount that I'm sharing on this blog, I rarely let anyone read it nor do I share it with others. Keyboard-warrior-poet much? Maybe. I tend to write in various moments, in various moods and places but almost always by myself. I find solace in it, I find a certain sense of self realization and a deeper understanding of myself and my thought patterns through it. I know it sounds like a pseudo-therapeutic mumbojumbo, but I like it, and I believe I reveal a part of me in everything I write.
